Marlene receives from Tanja the assurance on an alternative dress. Marlene believes to get her feelings under control – till she stands in front of the wedding dress repaired by Rebecca. Marlene tries whether it fits and is overwhelmed to see herself in the mirror wearing the dress that symbolizes to her Rebecca's love.

After the kiss with Rebecca in the kitchen Marlene is assailed by doubts whether the wedding, planned for the next day, was the right decision. First she's trying to resist but finally she has to acknowledge to herself that she doesn't love Tristan enough to marry him. Her feelings for Rebecca are too strong. She decides to talk to Tristan. However, right after she brought herself to talk to him, Tristan surprises her with a heartbreaking declaration of love. The fact that Marlene just disappeared after their kiss in the kitchen makes it clear to Rebecca that Marlene will always disavow their love for each other. In her despair Riccardo comforts her. After Tristan's overwhelming declaration of love Marlene is torn whether she should tell him that she's doubtful about the wedding. Finally, she decides to marry him and convinces herself – and concerned Viktoria – that she will attain happiness with Tristan. She brushes aside any confusing memories and one meeting with Rebecca. Tristan got new wedding rings made after he couldn't find the old ones and in the morning of the wedding day he secretly leaves the castle to collect them. At the gas station he meets a young woman named Bella who, in the next moment, steals his car to hound the thief of her scooter. Tristan barely succeeds in jumping into the moving car. When he finds out that Bella is looking for Olli, he takes her along to his wedding.
Rebecca wants to escape Düsseldorf so that she doesn't meet Marlene anymore. But Riccardo makes clear to her that she should make an orderly withdrawal at least. So she tells Tanja that she quits her job and she says good-bye to Elisabeth. But she can't say good-bye to Marlene. Instead, Rebecca writes a letter to Marlene in which she openly writes that Marlene is cowardly as she disavows her feelings.

After Marlene left Tristan at the altar, he goes through an emotional roller coaster ride: from consternation through to blind with rage. In this time Bella is on his side. When he catches Marlene and Rebecca in a compromising situation he's on the verge of completely loosing control. In this situation Bella is on his side too. Tristan's helpless anger against himself and Marlene changes into poignant grief – and he comes apart at the seams. Marlene is totally unable to cope with the situation. Finally, it becomes clear to her that she has to talk to Tristan. But at the castle she meets Rebecca who's now realizing what happened: Finally, Marlene doesn't disavow her love for Rebecca anymore. But after the confrontation with Tristan it becomes clear to both women that they won't be able to live their love, not until the remains of the past are removed.

Er ist entschlossen, das zu verhindern, scheitert aber an Clarissa, die in Ansgars Plan eingeweiht ist und den Preis für das Gemälde in die Höhe treibt. Tristan nimmt das Bild an sich, bevor es vermeintlich an Rebecca ausgeliefert wird, und konfrontiert diese mit seinem Verdacht. Rebecca macht ihm aber klar, dass sie das Bild nicht ersteigert hat.

Basically the gist of the spoilers is this:

Rebecca's sister Helena is organizing a really important auction of Van Gough pictures. Tristan overhears that Rebecca wants to buy a Van Gough as a present for Marlene. Helena forbids the family from bidding in the auction or else they'll be accused of price tampering. Ricardo convinces Rebecca to prepare a romantic meal for Marlene. Ansgar convinces Tristan to secretly bid for the picture. Tristan thinks he's bidding against Rebecca but he's actually bidding against Ansgar's accomplice Clarissa. Enraged Tristan destroys the picture. The secret bidding is revealed. Helena publicly takes all the blame on herself, knowing that her reputation and the reputation of the auction house is now ruined. The family however quickly realizes that she's covering for Tristan, but Helena begs them to support Tristan and that he needs help. She then leaves town. The family blames Tristan for Helena leaving and wants to take away his vote on the board and his entertainment branch. To Marlene's surprise Rebecca sides with Tristan. Rebecca wants to make up with Tristan because she fears otherwise the conflict will tear the family apart. Tristan is willing to agree, but only if Rebecca promises that she's not in a relationship with Marlene.
